1131 04-10-1990 York townsite Fairy-wren, Splendid First sighting in townsite for 20-25 years. Ex old resident. By Chris Miles

1133 14-01-2000 Avon Catchment Event Cyclone moved down the WA coast then inland, over the catchment. By 23/1/2000 it was a 15-year flood event in Toodyay, up to 100 year event further into the wheatbelt. Avon River running a banker in Toodyay
1134 23-01-1999 Morangup, and southern part of Toodyay Event Tornado ripped through the south western part of the Shire, ripping out huge mature marri trees, uprooting others, and splitting others off at the base. Caused huge flood down Jimperding Brook, with over a metre at Lovers Lane causeway. Toodyay Road had vegetation levelled for nearly a kilometre on one side of the road, and the road was impassable.
1135 24-04-1994 Avon Valley National Park Event TNC started a biological survey of the AVNP. Set up camp in the park (under the direction of CALM) with traps and quadrats for flora monitoring. Five days of monitoring.
1136 18-11-1989 Toodyay-Northam Road Event Aurora Australis - Very good sightings. Chris Miles, Jenny Ballard, Ruth & Lindsay Milhinch. Also good sighting Toodyay-Goomalling Road, Beryl and Fred Boase. Very good sighting at Glen Avon between 2115-2200 hrs. Best since the 1940s. Jim Masters.
1137 06-08-1990 Toodyay Event Avon Descent Boat Race. Mountain ducks and water birds in general. Much comment on this year's race re disturbance to waterfowl. Clutches of eight and ten chicks disappeared altogether after race. Another clutch of eight chicks was reduced to two. By Jim Masters
